About the Photographer
Schreiber, Adam
American, b. 1976
Adam Schreiber’s series "Anachronic," is concerned with objects and the institutional archive. Shot in the Lyndon B. Johnson presidential archive and The Ransom Center archive, Schreiber’s seemingly disparate images explore objects’ material and historical significance. Schreiber states: “I’m interested in how a photograph can articulate a position between making and recording.†The photographs remove the objects from their institutional context, complicating and reformulating their significance.
