Mandelbaum, Audrey

Audrey Mandelbaum completed a BA at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington (1989) and an MFA at the School of the Art Institute (1996). She is represented in The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1995 Graduate and Faculty Portfolio. In her more recent work Mandelbaum has concentrated on making portraits of everyday people and making works that engage with, in her words, "how social differences inform American life, and how the spatial tensions between people play out in private and public spaces." Mandelbaum has taught at a number of universities and colleges and is currently the Assistant Director of the MFA Program at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
