Maldre, Mati

Estonian, b. Germany 1947

Mati Maldre was born in Geestacht, Germany. A longtime resident of Chicago, he completed an MS in Photography at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Institute of Design (1979), where he studied with Aaron Siskind and Arthur Siegal. In 1972 Maldre joined the faculty at Chicago State University, where he is currently Professor Emeritus of Art.
