Ira Garber studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design under Aaron Siskind, completing a BFA in 1974. He is represented in the The Seventh Annual Portfolio of the Photographic Education Society, Rhode Island School of Design, which comprises photographs by the program's students and faculty in 1973. Since completing his degree, Garber has worked as an advertising photographer, based in Providence, Rhode Island.
