Chicago photographers

This print viewing introduces students to works made in and about Chicago.

Images touch on the history of the Institute of Design, one of the most important schools of design and photography in America during the twentieth century, as well as Changing Chicago, a 1987 documentary photography project depicting neighborhoods across the city by 33 photographers. These works are presented in conversation with images made by contemporary Chicago-based artists.
